Meeting Room This session will provide an overview of the issues of caregiving and long term care. We will discuss the levels and settings of long term care and how long term care is paid for, including long term care insurance. We will also discuss the Class Act, the long term care provision in the recently enacted health care bill. This information should prove invaluable as we help our parents, loved ones, and even ourselves age with dignity and independence.
By the end of this session you will be able to:
1. Describe long term care
2. Describe the sources of payment for long term care
3. Describe the basic elements of long term care insurance
4. Decide if long term care insurance is an appropriate option
Presenter Nicholas Yee is a Financial Advisor with ING Financial Advisers. He has worked in the financial services industry for 13 years and specializes in the mature market and retirement planning. He earned his Master’s degrees in Gerontology and Public Administration from the University of Southern California, Leonard Davis School of Gerontology in 1996.
