Library Cards

New Card
- Apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library.
- Library card application form
- The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents and for military personnel and their dependents with military identification.
- Adult applicants must present a current ID and proof of mailing address if it is not listed on the ID. Minors (below eighteen) must have their applications co-signed by a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must present a current ID and proof of mailing address.
Replacement Card
The resident card replacement fee for both adults and minors (under 18 of age) is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.
Non-Resident Card
There are two non-resident cards. The $25.00 non-resident card is good for five years and may be renewed for an additional $25.00. The $10.00 non-resident card is good for 3 months and may be renewed for an additional $10. The non-resident card replacement fee for both types is $5.00.
Lost or Stolen Card
If your card is lost or stolen, please report it to a library staff member immediately. A block will be placed against your file so that no one else can use your card.
