Come to this fair to get free consumer information from local, state, and federal agencies such as AARP, Senior Fraud Squad, and Hawaii's 529 College Savings Program (participating agencies may vary). The Consumer Education Fair is jointly presented by the Hawaii State Dept. of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and the Hawaii State Public Library System.

The Art of Taiko with Kenny Endo

In celebration of National library Week 2009, Aina Haina is proud to present The Art of Taiko, an all-ages cultural featuring a demonstartion and lecture on the art of performing with taiko (Japanese drums).  Kenny Endo is a performer, composer, and leader of contemporary taiko.  He began his taiko career over 30 years ago as a member of Kinnara Taiko and San Francisco Taiko Dojo.
 

Star Mini-Books Eco-Craft Class for Teens and Adults

Crafter Evelyn Nakamura teaches an earth-friendly way to transform paper scraps into two different and impressive little journals, cards, or instant displays. This free make-and-take craft activity is sponsored by the Friends of Aina Haina Public Library.
