This annual nationwide event for kids, teens, and adults is sponsored by Lucasfilms and its publishing partners. 

Receive a giveaway just for coming!  Choose from a collectibile card with press-out BB-8 stand-up figure, assorted posters, sampler reader with excerpts from Star Wars books, bookmarks, and other freebies.  One per person, while supplies last.

Treat Bag & Card Making

Join us as Zeny Lucey, a Stampin' Up demonstrator, leads us in another fun craft class.  Zeny will teach us how to make halloween treat bags and butterfly cards.  Each participant will get to make and take home 3 treat bags (with candy included) and 3 butterfly cards (with matching envelopes).  All craft materials will be provided, courtesy of Friends of the Aina Haina Public Library.

This class is intended for teens and adults.  Space and craft materials are limited.  To reserve your spot, please inquire at the library Reference Desk or call 377-2456 during library hours.

The Art of Taiko with Kenny Endo

Master taiko drummer Kenny Endo will offer a unique cultural program featuring a demonstration and lecture on the art of performing with taiko. Attendees will learn about the different drums and percussion instruments of Japan as used in traditional and contemporary music. Mr. Endo composes his own music and plays taiko professionally as a solo artist, with his ensembles, and in collaboration with other artists. He has performed extensively all over the United States, Japan and throughout the world. The 45-minute program is recommended for ages 5 and older. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.
