In honor of Star Wars Reads month, fans of all ages are invited to our day-long celebration of all things Star Wars! This annual nationwide event is sponsored by Lucasfilm and its publishing partners.

Craft your own lightsaber or character puppet, enjoy Star Wars coloring pages, or attend our screenings of three Star Wars films at 10:15am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm - popcorn provided!

Hanafuda Na Pua Hawaii

Please join us to learn to play a Hawaiian version of Hanafuda, an ancient Japanese matching game using cards! Hanafuda is suitable for all ages and perfect for bringing generations a little closer together. Author Helen Nakano and her group of sensei will share stories and instructions for this entertaining game. After the program, Hanafuda sets featuring native Hawaiian plants, birds, and ocean life will be available for purchase.

DIY Tote Bag Craft Program

Make your own reusable tote bag from a spare t-shirt in this free make-and-take class led by volunteers from TeenLink Hawaii! All craft materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own t-shirts if they prefer. Recommended for teens (age 11+) and adults.
