Building Better Bones

Learn how to prevent osteoporosis and keep your bones healthy!  Registered dietician Rita Madden will talk about which foods to eat and how to prepare them, types of exercise that promote strong bone structure, and stress management techniques to prevent unmanaged stress from pulling calcium out of your bones.  All attendees will receive food samples, recipes, and a resource guide.

Rita Madden has a Masters of Public Health from Loma Linda University.  She teaches on a national level conducting lectures for organizations such as Blue Cross Blue Shield.  She is passionate about returning people to traditional ways of eating and cultivating healthy lifestyles.

Paper Bag Angel Craft Class

Learn how to make angels for the holiday season.  Angels can be used as decoration around the house, table centerpieces, or tree toppers.  All materials will be provided, courtesy of the Lei 'Ilima Club.  This class is suitable for adults.
